Palm Leaf Press publishes works that aspire to reimagine social, political and intellectual transformation in South Asia. We center voices from the margins that pay attention to the concerns of working people across the dynamics of caste, class and gender. By challenging the hierarchies between thought and practice, our aim is to make available the rich and diverse cultures of knowledge to non-English speaking reading publics. Firmly committed to grounded research and open access publishing, our publications bring to light primary materials, pedagogical resources and critical histories in vernacular languages.
